Once again its on.
If you are reading this, you are alive. You made it through another year. Hopefully your holiday season was full of love, blessings, and encouragement to set it off right for the new year.
My beautiful people, it’s been a while. These last few months have been full of bittersweet moments. I had news to share with you, but proper timing was essential for the announcement.
Booker T & the MGs – “Time is Tight” playing in the background… it’s a grisly reminder; focusing and finishing are the utmost priority. Being locked in my studio for the final few months was one of the best decisions I made last year. Not only was I able to create some brand new space funk, I finally completed my album entitled “Hothead”. It’s off to mastering and will hopefully return sounding something like an angelic host armed with minimoogs, a fender rhodes, and a shopping cart full of dusty samples.
Release date forthcoming.
On the DJ front, Art Basel provided the opportunity for the Champion Sound crew and I to hold court with Rock Steady DJ and long time legend in the game, Tony Touch. Fun times were had by all. Big shouts to Kems and Thirstin Howl for holding down the Polo section of Cafeina.
Can’t express how excited I am about this weekend. January 14th, Champion Sound will be supporting the Ben Westbeech show at Electric Pickle. Extremely amped for the opportunity to open up for an amazing talent. Please check dude out if you aren’t in the know.
